This is a tale of caution to any person considering signing a Settlement Agreement in the Court House with the Criminal/Defendant.... As the Victim/Plaintiff I've now been forced to be in the Court System for over 6 yrs... due to the actions of my Neighbor From Hell... Do not believe the mediators who are assigned to convince you to enter into a settlement agreement that if "the defendant is late on payments or misses any payments that the plaintiff can terminate the contract & collect the remaining balance in full" In spite of proving Breach Of Contract... the Judge has refused to allow me to end the dance with the neighbor from hell... & has insisted I "finance her another 3 yrs!!!!" - I am NOT a bank & there is no law that requires me to continue communication with my evil neighbor who owes me money.
